Jermain Defoe Makes new Coaching Strides

Tottenham legend Jermain Defoe, currently a coach in the Spurs academy, was spotted coaching at Arsenal's Hale End training base.

The former England international participated in an Under-14 session, sharing his expertise with young talents. Despite his presence in enemy territory, Defoe remains committed to his coaching role at Tottenham, easing concerns among Spurs fans.

Jermain Defoe, the former striker and current coach for Spurs' Under-18s, participated in an FA coaching course at Arsenal's Hale End, raising eyebrows due to his strong connections with Tottenham.

The FA has conducted similar sessions at various clubs, including Burnley and Brighton. Defoe, who retired in March 2022 after a career with Sunderland, amassed a total of 324 goals.

The Football Association (FA) is investigating Jermain Defoe's 2008 transfer from Spurs to Portsmouth amid allegations of potential breaches of agent rules.

Despite the scrutiny, Spurs swiftly re-signed Defoe, facilitating his return to the club and paving the way for him to pursue coaching.   Defoe, now part of Spurs' Under-18 coaching staff, is working towards a career in coaching after his illustrious playing career.
