Canadian PM, Wife Splits After 18 Years

Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, has split with his wife, Sophie, after 18 years of their marriage on Wednesday.

The pair revealed this in a joint statement posted to their official Instagram accounts saying they had "many meaningful and difficult conversations" prior to their decision.

"As always, we remain a close family with deep love and respect for each other for everything we have built and will continue to build," the statement reads further.

Justin and Sophie were married in May 2005 and have three children together.
